Fi is proud to offer an upgrade program where, with an active membership, you can upgrade your current Series 1 or Series 2 Fi Collar to a Series 3 Collar within the Fi App.
The Series 3 upgrade includes the following:
- Series 3 Fi Collar Band in your preference of color.
- Series 3 Fi Device for best in class activity and location tracking.
- Series 3 Fi Base for charging and connectivity.
- A prepaid Fi Membership - including a Series 3 Warranty, full access to the Fi App, and premium live tracking.
- Membership coverage for your current Fi Collar until your Series 3 Fi Collar is delivered.
When upgrading to a new Fi Band, remember that sizes may differ slightly between Series. Be sure to select the correct band size during your upgrade to ensure the best fit for your dog.

What's the difference between a Series 2 and Series 3 Collar?

What's the price of the upgrade?
The upgrade program cost will vary for each member. The price is based on the membership you select, how much Series 2 credit remains on your account, and taxes in your state.
The best way to understand the total cost for an upgrade is to tap the blue upgrade banner in your Fi App, which displays in the Live Tab. Then, select the color and size collar you want - and finally select your membership plan. From there, you'll be able to see a total breakdown before you check out.
Do I need to purchase a new membership?
Upgrading to the Fi Series 3 Collar requires a new membership. Your existing Series 2 membership will be canceled, and any applicable credits will be applied toward the new Series 3 membership.
Though your membership will change, you are able to transfer your existing dog profiles and all your dog's previous data, ensuring uninterrupted access to Fi’s advanced tracking and health features.
What do I do with my previous Fi Collar?
Once your Series 3 is delivered, unlink your previous collar to activate the Series 3.
Your dog’s profile will automatically transfer to their new Series 3 Collar. After you unlink your previous collar, you can use it on a different dog or save it to use at a different time.
If you decide to use your previous collar on a different dog, in order for the collar to work, you’ll need to reactivate the collar on the new dog's profile in the Fi App.
We highly recommend purchasing a Fi Membership to get the most out of the collar.
If you'd like to recycle the collar, we suggest recycling at a local e-recycling facility. Please note, if you decide to recycle the collar, we'd recommend keeping the Series 2 Fi Base to maximize your coverage as any Fi Base can connect to any Fi Collar!
Can I combine the upgrade program with an additional Fi promotion or discount?
No, the Fi upgrade program cannot be combined with additional promotions or discounts. The program is designed to offer exceptional value on its own, ensuring you can upgrade to the latest Fi technology at a competitive price.
