Live Tracking is a feature within Lost Dog Mode for all active Series 3 Memberships. Once Lost Dog Mode is turned on, Live Tracking automatically starts providing real-time updates of your dog’s location via GPS/LTE, to help you quickly reunite with your dog. The Fi Collar increases the frequency of location reports and continuously updates your dog's live location as they move.
Fi's Original Lost Dog Mode is available for Series 2 Collars, with an active Fi Subscription. Once original Lost Dog Mode is turned on, your dog's GPS/LTE location attempts increase to once per minute (not live), showing your dog's most recent location in the Fi App.
For more information on how to test and/or turn Live Tracking and Original Lost Dog Mode ON/OFF see: How Do I Turn ON/OFF Live Tracking/Lost Dog Mode?
The battery life remains the same for Live Tracking and Fi's Original Lost Dog Mode. Meaning your dog's Fi Collar will only have approximately 2 days of battery life while in Live Tracking/Lost Dog Mode. This is why it's important to save as much battery as possible when your dog is not lost.
