We hope it never happens - but if your dog is lost, you can use the Fi App paired with your dog's Fi Collar and an active Fi Membership to track them down quickly.
We recommend testing Lost Dog Mode and testing GPS + LTE-M to familiarize yourself with this functionality before you need it.
Please note: Without a Fi Membership, Lost Dog Mode is not available.
To Turn Lost Dog Mode On/Off

Open the Fi App.

Tap into the Live Tab in the bottom-left corner of your screen:
- Tap the Map Preview:
- This will open a map showing your dog's latest known location. Tap Track Lost Dog:

Depending on the series of your Fi Collar:
- Series 3 - Once you click Track Lost Dog, Live Tracking in Lost Dog mode is activated. Your dog's GPS & LTE-M location is updated in real-time, with live location updates shown in the Fi App:
- Series 2 - Once you click Track Lost Dog, the original Lost Dog Mode is activated. Your dog's GPS & LTE-M location attempts to increase to once per minute, and will show your dog's most recently reported location in the Fi App.
- Series 3 - Once you click Track Lost Dog, Live Tracking in Lost Dog mode is activated. Your dog's GPS & LTE-M location is updated in real-time, with live location updates shown in the Fi App:

Your dog's collar light will not be activated.
- If you need to see your dog's collar, you can switch the light on by tapping the light switch (shown on the live map) to turn it on.

This will make your dog easier to spot at night or in low visibility conditions.

- The LED light will drain your dog's Fi Collar battery faster - so keep an eye on the battery level:

In addition to seeing your dog's location on the map, the Fi App will provide you with known location reports via push notifications to guide you to your dog:
- You'll also see your location in relation to your dog within the map:

- Keep Lost Dog Mode open while your dog is lost. It is critical you do not exit this mode until you have found your dog. Toggling Lost Dog Mode on and off will delay location updates.
- If you have a Series 3 Collar, you can start a Search Party, which is an in-app feature that allows Fi Series 3 dog owners to call for backup when their dog is lost.
- Once you have found your dog, you can exit Lost Dog Mode by tapping End Live Tracking:

You'll need to verify if you want to keep trying, if your dog was found, or if you were just testing:
- Tap No to return to live tracking.
- Tap Yes to move forward in ending live tracking.

Tap I found my dog to return to the Fi App and turn off Lost Dog Mode.
- Once you tap I found my dog, you can let Fi know how your experience was.
- Tap I was just testing to return to the Fi App and turn off Lost Dog Mode.
- Tap No to return to live tracking.
- Exit the full map screen by tapping on the arrow in the upper-left corner:
