Sizing:
When ordering a Fi collar, your size selection will specify the length of the collar band + module - not the module size itself. The module is the same size regardless of collar band size.
The Fi collar is lightweight and can comfortably fit dogs with neck circumferences of 11.5" and up. All collar band sizes have a 1" width.

To choose a Fi collar size for your dog, either:
- Measure your dog’s existing collar length.
- Best fitting collars allow you to fit two fingers between your dog’s neck and collar. See the “Two Fingers” Rule below.
- Lay your dog’s existing, best fitting collar flat and measure it in inches.
- If you don’t have a measuring tape at all, try Google’s Measure - Quick Everyday Measurements app or the iOS Measure app.
- Loosely measure the circumference of your dog’s neck using a cloth tape measure, in inches, around the normal location the collar would sit.
- If you don't have cloth measuring tape, you can use a piece of string or ribbon, then measure its length after marking where the collar buckle should sit.
- To ensure the collar isn’t too tight, you’ll need to add one to three inches (depending upon your dog’s size) to this measurement to find the correct length collar.

Fit:
The “Two Fingers” Rule:
- Once your dog’s Fi collar is fastened, you should be able to easily slide two fingers under the collar.
- When you slide the width of your two fingers between the collar and neck, the collar should feel snug, but not tight.
- You should not be able to slide your dog’s collar off his head to ensure your dog does not end up slipping through the collar.
- Remember to check periodically to ensure your dog’s Fi collar is in good repair and still fits correctly.
- For maximum security, ensure the endlinks on your dog's Fi collar always remain as flat as possible- this means ensuring appropriate size and fit of your dog's Fi collar so there is not enough slack to allow for excessive rotation or movement of the module itself.
For Growing Puppies:
The Fi band is interchangeable, so you can purchase additional bands ($29/each) to go from a Small to Medium or Large, for your growing pup. Here's a guide on how to Replace the Fi Band.
