It is important for your Fi Base to remain plugged in and connected to Wi-Fi at all times because when it is in range of the Fi Collar, it helps to extend the collar's battery life, ensures timely notifications, and enhances overall performance. What Color Is the LED on Your Series 3 Fi Base Showing?
The small light on the front of the Series 3 Fi Base indicates its current status.
To troubleshoot your Fi Base, start by unplugging and replugging the base into a working outlet. If no lights occur after initially replugging the base in, try resetting it, see: How Do I Reset My Fi Base?.
Once complete, follow the applicable steps below based on the Fi Base LED color you see:
- A pulsing green light indicates the base is starting up. This should change to a different color shortly.
- A static blue light indicates your Fi Collar is docked for charging.
- No lights with no collar docked indicates normal operation.
- A static red light indicates you are resetting your Fi Collar.
- A pulsing red light indicates a misaligned charger. Unplug your base, inspect the cable connections to ensure they are fully connected, and then replug the base into an outlet.
- A static yellow light indicates no Wi-Fi connectivity. See steps below under: How Do I Reconnect My Fi Base to Wi-Fi?
- A pulsing yellow light indicates no Wi-Fi is configured and it is ready to be activated. See: How Do I Add a Fi Base to My Fi App?
- If you see a pulsing cycle through all colors, please Contact Fi Customer Success.
Please note, the Series 2 Fi Base does not have an indicator light. If you need to troubleshoot your Series 2 Fi Base, please:
- Unplug and replug the base into a working outlet.
- Test it for power by placing your Fi Collar on it; the collar should light up.
- If the collar lights up but your base is offline, proceed to follow How Do I Reconnect My Fi Base to Wi-Fi?.

How Do I Reconnect My Fi Base to Wi-Fi?
- Open the Fi App.
- Tap your dog's profile picture in the lower right corner. Once you are in the profile, tap the 3 stacked lines to open the Settings Menu:
- Tap Bases:
- When a Fi Charging Base is offline, you will see a red exclamation next to the base that is offline. Tap into the base you want to update Wi-Fi for:
- Tap UPDATE Wi-Fi:

Tap Continue to choose your Wi-Fi network:

Once the app scans the Wi-Fi networks, a list of available networks will appear. Tap your network from Choose a Network:
- Note: The Fi Base only connects to 2.4GH Wi-Fi networks.
- Enter your network's Wi-Fi password within Join Network and then tap Connect:
- If Wi-Fi connects properly, you will get a screen saying Your Fi Base is all set!

If your Wi-Fi network does not appear in the list:
- Ensure that the 2.4GHz band is enabled as the Fi Base only connects to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Networks. You can refer to your Wi-Fi router manufacturer's documentation or Wi-Fi router manufacturer's online support center if needed.
- Restart your router.
- Try to cancel/reopen the Wi-Fi selection screen.
- Move your base to a location with better Wi-Fi range coverage. There should be a clear line of sight between you, the base, and the router.

What Do I Do If Those Steps Do Not Work?

Check Your Wi-Fi Network
- Your Series 3 Fi Base has an indicator light. It will show a static yellow light if the base has no Wi-Fi connectivity.
- Is your Wi-Fi network online and working? Ensure other devices in your home can connect to your Wi-Fi network. If not, restart your Wi-Fi router or modem.

Make Sure Your Fi Base Is Plugged In

The Fi Base needs to remain plugged in to stay online. Confirm your base is getting power by placing your dog’s Fi Collar on the base, the collar should light up. If not, try unplugging and replugging the Fi Base into a different outlet.
- For Series 3, the Fi Base indicator light will be blue when your Fi Collar is docked on the base.
