Cleaning the Fi Collar

The Fi Collar was designed to allow your dog to roam and explore! Therefore, the collar was made to be easily cleaned when needed. 

Steps to Wash Your Dog's Fi Band

Fi Bands are made from an ultra-durable, woven Tetoron polyester, which makes for effortless cleaning.

1. Remove the Fi Device. See: How Do I Attach or Replace the Fi Collar Band?
2. There are two ways to wash the band:
   1. You can wash the band in the sink with warm water and detergent.
   2. You can place the band into a mesh bag and place it in the washing machine on a warm/gentle cycle.
3. Allow the band to air dry. 
4. Reassemble the Fi Collar. 

Steps to Clean Your Dog's Fi Device

The Fi Device is waterproof rated IP68 but should not be be put in a washing machine. Instead:

1. If your device has minor scuffs or marks, we recommend using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Do not use alcohol to clean your device as it can cause damage.
2. If you need to remove excess dirt, the device can be rinsed with water over a sink.

Please note that if the GPS device is exposed to saltwater, we recommend rinsing it with fresh water.
