How Do I Add or Remove a Dog Walker?

If your dog spends time with a dog walker or caretaker, you can grant limited access to your dog's Fi Account by assigning Walker privileges within the Fi App. See: How Do I Edit Owners, Walkers (Full Access), and Walkers (Limited Access)?

This will allow your dog's Fi Collar to pair to their mobile device, which will provide more accurate reports. See: What Access Does My Dog Walker Have?

Steps to Add a Dog Walker

1. Open the Fi App.
2. Tap your dog's profile picture in the lower right corner. Once you are in the profile, tap the 3 stacked lines to open the Menu:
   
3. Tap Owners / Dog Walkers:
   
   
4. Tap Add a walker:
   
5. Enter the dog walker's phone number in the Phone Number field, or tap Search your contacts:
   
   
6. You'll see the invite populate on your smartphone, and you can text the dog walker directly from your phone.
7. The invited dog walker will receive an SMS text message containing a link from you
   
   • If the invited dog walker hasn't yet downloaded the Fi app - this link will direct them to the Google Play or Apple App Store. They will need to:
     • Download the app
     • Create an account
       • Enter the email address desired for their Fi Account
       • Pick a password
       • Enter their full name 
       • The invite code will auto-populate
   • If the dog walker has downloaded the app - this link will open the Fi App on their device.
     • If they have not created an account, they will need to:
       • Create an account
       • Enter the email address desired for their Fi Account
       • Pick a password
       • Enter their full name
       • The invite code will auto-populate
   • If the invited dog walker already has a Fi Account, they will immediately receive access to your dog's profile.

Steps to Remove a Dog Walker

1. Open the Fi App.
2. Tap your dog's profile picture in the lower right corner. Once you are in the profile, tap the 3 stacked lines to open the Menu:

4. Tap the Pencil Icon next to the person you would like to remove:
   
5. Tap Remove. To confirm, tap Yes, remove.
