TIP: You should print out your “Fi Fosters” sheet to give to fosters. Email rescues@tryfi.com if you do not have it.

- If this is a foster’s first time having a Fi collar, please have them download the Fi app, and create an account or log in. Make note of the email that they used to create their account.
- Navigate to the main menu by tapping on the bottom right icon listed under a dog’s name, and then tapping on the three horizontal lines in the top right hand corner.
- Once the menu is open, tap on the tab labeled with Rescue.
- You will see two categories:

- Select the dog you want to place: these are dogs that have not yet been transferred to foster parents.
- Select a dog to recall into the rescue: these are dogs that are out with fosters.

- From the “Select the dog you want to place” menu, tap which dog you would like to transfer, and then tap “Transfer to a Foster Parent”.
- Enter the name and email of the foster parent.

- NOTE: This dog will still show up in the Rescue app and the Rescue will still have access to them. This process is granting the foster access to ONLY this dog.
- NOTE: if the foster does not yet have an account, it will create a temporary password for them - please pass this to them so they can log into the app.

- Have the foster set up a base at their home: Multiple Fi Bases

- NOTE: If the base was previously set up by another user (i.e. another foster) it may fail when activated. If this happens, please email rescuesupport@tryfi.com with the base serial number.
- TIP: you can rename the bases by going to the “bases” menu once the adopter sets it up. This helps keep track of who has which base!
