When you are logged into your Fi Nano Partner Account, under MANAGE CHIPS, you will see three different statuses, Stock, Active and Review.
What Does Each Status Mean?
Stock
Every microchip that is associated with your Fi Nano Partner account will start out in the Stock status.
- The microchips in Stock, are:
- Microchips that are available and not yet injected.
- If a microchip in Stock is an available chip, that can be used, under OWNER it will show ----- dotted lines only.
- Microchips that have been injected but the pet has not yet been adopted - they are still under the care of a vet/rescue/breeder.
- Microchips that are available and not yet injected.

Active
Once a pet owner registers their chip, you will be sent an email to approve the chip. Once the chip is approved, meaning this microchip and pet is now under the owner's care, and not the vet/rescue/breeder, the chip will no longer show in your Fi Account under any status. This is for the privacy of the pet owner.
Please note, this is not needed, but If any chips are double registered to the same vet/rescue/breeder they will show up in the Active status.
- All approved microchips are still dually registered, meaning the chip has contact information for both the pet owner(s) and the vet/rescue/breeder.
- Please remember that you can always view a chip and its information through our secure system. You can simply search the chip on nano.tryfi.com to find the pet owner's information, and securely contact them or view their information when needed:
- This is crucial under the circumstances of a lost dog, so that if needed, a vet/rescue/breeder can contact an owner. See: I Am a Vet/Rescue/Breeder, I Received an Email Regarding a Lost Pet, What Do I Do Next?
- Please remember that you can always view a chip and its information through our secure system. You can simply search the chip on nano.tryfi.com to find the pet owner's information, and securely contact them or view their information when needed:
- Once approved, ONLY the owner can edit the chip information. The owner cannot edit any vet/rescue/breeder information.

Review
Microchips in the Review status are waiting to be approved by the vet/rescue/breeder. If an owner registers their chip on their own, the vet/rescue/breeder will receive an email from nanosupport@tryfi.com - titled "A Fi Nano registration needs your approval!" - to inform you that a chip has been registered by an owner and awaiting approval.
Once the owner has filled out their contact information, the chip will move from Stock into the Review status - where it can be approved or denied (accepted or rejected). See: How Do I Approve an Owner's Microchip Registration?
- In Review status neither the owner nor the vet/rescue/breeder is able to edit the chip. Once the chip is approved, the owner can edit the chip again if needed.
- Fi will send a weekly email showing any microchips that are sitting in the Review status. It's very important that microchips are approved as soon as possible.
- If a chip is scanned while in the Review status, only the vet/rescue/breeder's information will pull up and not the owner's information. Therefore, it will be the vet/rescue/breeder's responsibility to contact the owner for a lost dog. See: I Am a Vet/Rescue/Breeder, I Received an Email Regarding a Lost Pet, What Do I Do Next?
