If your pet goes missing, Fi gives you the tools to find them fast. Your Fi Device and membership determine your Lost Mode experience in the Fi App. Learn more about how each option works below.
Lost Mode and Live Tracking
Lost Mode is a feature on your Fi Device that helps you locate your pet if they go missing.
Live Tracking is a feature within Lost Mode for all active Series 3+, Series 3, and Fi Mini Memberships.
Once Lost Mode is turned on, Live Tracking automatically starts providing real-time updates of your pet's location via GPS/LTE-M, to help you quickly reunite with your pet. The Fi Device increases the frequency of location reports and continuously updates your pet's live location as they move.
Original Lost Mode
Fi's Original Lost Mode is available for Series 2 Devices with an active Fi Membership.
Once Original Lost Mode is turned on, your pet's GPS/LTE-M location attempts increase to once per minute (not live), showing your pet's most recent location in the Fi App.
The battery life remains the same for Lost Mode and Original Lost Mode - meaning your pet's Fi Device will only have approximately 2 days of battery life while in Lost Mode. This is why it's important to save as much battery as possible when your pet is not lost.
