We hope it never happens - but if your dog is lost, you can use the Fi App paired with your dog's Fi Collar and an active Fi GPS/LTE Subscription/Membership to track them down quickly. We recommend: Testing Lost Dog Mode and Testing GPS/LTE to familiarize yourself with the functionality before you need it.
Note: Without a Fi GPS/LTE Subscription/Membership, Lost Dog Mode is not available.

Steps to Turn ON/OFF Lost Dog Mode
- Open the Fi App.

Tap on the lower left tab to access the Live Tab:
- Tap your dog's profile photo on the top left, this will reveal a location map:
- Tap LOST on the top right to turn on Lost Dog Mode:
- Once in Lost Dog Mode, the following happens:
- GPS/LTE location attempts increase to once per minute.
- Your dog's Fi Light will be activated to the red pulsing LED light on the Fi Module. This will make your dog easier to spot at night or in low visibility conditions.
- The LED light will drain your dog's Fi collar battery faster - so keep an eye on the battery level:
- You can switch the light OFF, if your dog's Fi Collar battery starts to run low while you're still trying to track them down. While in Lost Dog Mode, you can simply tap on the red light to turn it OFF, or see: How Do I Turn My Fi Light On or Off On My Fi Collar?

- The LED light will drain your dog's Fi collar battery faster - so keep an eye on the battery level:
- The Fi App will send your dog's location via notifications, and you can see the dog's location on the map.
- The app will provide you known GPS location reports via push notifications to guide you to your dog:
- In Lost Dog Mode, you'll see your location in relation to your dog within the map, and the last known location will be shown at the top of the screen:

- Keep Lost Dog Mode open while your dog is lost. It is critical you do not exit this mode until you have found your dog. Toggling Lost Dog Mode ON and OFF will delay location updates.
- Once you have found your dog, you can exit Lost Dog Mode by tapping the X on the top right. Once you turn Lost Dog Mode off, you'll need to verify your dog is found. Tap I found (your dog), disable lost dog:
- Exit the full map screen by tapping the back button on the bottom left:
Note: In Lost Dog Mode your dog's Fi Collar will only have approximately 2 days of battery life. This is why it's important to save as much battery as possible when your dog is not lost. See Battery Life.
