We hope it never happens - but if your dog is lost, you can use the Fi App paired with your dog's Fi Collar and an active Fi Membership to track them down quickly.
We recommend testing Lost Dog Mode to familiarize yourself with this functionality before you need it.
Please note: Without a Fi Membership, Lost Dog Mode is not available.
To Turn Lost Dog Mode On/Off
1. Open the Fi App. Tap into the Live Tab in the bottom-left corner of your screen:
2. Tap the Map Preview:
3. This will open a map showing your dog's latest known location. Tap “Track Lost Dog”:
4. What you see on the map depends on your Fi Series.
-
- Series 3+ or Series 3 – Live Tracking in Lost Dog Mode immediately activates. Your dog’s GPS & LTE-M location updates in real time.
- Series 2 – Location updates increase to once per minute. Displays the most recently reported location in-app.
Be aware that the Cancel button does not appear during Live Tracking Activation unless the collar has been in this state for at least 5 minutes.
Note: The collar light is not automatically activated.
You can turn on the light manually via the map. This helps visibility at night or in low-light situations.
It may take a few minutes to activate:

5. Once Lost Dog Mode is activated, you can view your dog’s location via map and you will receive push notifications:
Your location is also shown in relation to your dog:
6. Remain in Lost Dog Mode until your dog is found. Exiting prematurely delays location updates.

8. When found, exit Lost Dog Mode by tapping “End Live Tracking”:
9. Confirm your reason for ending:
