A Fi Base is not needed or included with the Fi Ultra. To charge your device, all you need is your own USB-C adapter (5W or higher).

*Important: Fi Ultra is designed for off-leash use, not off-grid use. In areas with no cell service, the app may not be able to communicate with the device in real time. Use caution when letting your dog off-leash in low- or no-service areas.
Pricing
How much you pay for the Fi Ultra depends on whether you are buying it on its own or adding it to a Fi tracker you already own.
Fi Ultra Only
If you plan to purchase an Ultra and do not own a Fi Mini, Series 3+, or Series 3, you will pay $408 total:
- A $199 hardware fee
- A $20 activation fee
- Your prepaid membership term ($189 for 1 Year)
Standalone Ultra members will have the opportunity to purchase a Fi Mini or Series 3+ at a later date directly in the Fi app for $99.
At this point, the new tracker will be added to your existing Fi Ultra membership.
Fi Ultra with Fi Mini, Series 3+, or Series 3
You can purchase the Fi Ultra as a secondary tracker to your pet's existing tracker for a one-time $299 hardware fee.
Your existing membership is preserved, and no new membership is needed.

Q: How do I attach the Fi Ultra to my dog's collar or harness?
A: The Fi Ultra uses a universal integrated clip that secures to collars, harnesses, and working dog vests. For the most secure fit, attach the Ultra to a band that is 1 inch wide or narrower.
Q: Can I use the Fi Ultra with my existing Fi Mini, Series 3+, or Series 3?
A: Yes. If you already own a Fi Mini, Series 3+, or Series 3, you can pair the Ultra with your current tracker.
Q: Do I need to remove the Fi Ultra to charge it?
A: No, you do not need to remove the Fi Ultra from a clip to charge it.
Q: If I have a Fi Base, can I use it with the Fi Ultra?
A: The Fi Ultra is not compatible with the Fi Base. Your Fi Ultra charges using the included USB-C cable and your own USB-C adapter (5W or higher).
Q: Does the Fi Ultra have a power-saving mode?
A: Yes. The Fi Ultra has a Power Saving Mode that extends battery life by reducing how often the device checks in for location updates. You can toggle Power Saving Mode from the Fi app. In Power Saving Mode, your battery life is extended to up to 5 days total.
Q: Do I need an additional membership if I already have one?
A: No. If you already own a Fi Mini, Series 3+, or Series 3, you can add your Fi Ultra to an existing prepaid membership.
Q: Will the Fi Ultra work outside the United States?
A: The Fi Ultra is designed for use within the United States only. Satellite connectivity does not extend coverage internationally.
Q: Can the Fi Ultra record audio?
A: No. The Fi Ultra does not record sound or audio. The device includes a buzzer that you can trigger from the Fi app to make a sound or vibration to help locate your dog.
Q: Are the sound and vibration features safe for my dog?
A: The Fi Ultra's sound and vibration are designed to gently get your dog's attention, similar to a recall whistle. Sound and vibration are triggered when you choose to use them in the Fi app, with adjustable intensity (Low, Medium, or High) and the ability to configure them independently to find the setting that works best for your dog.
