As a Fi Nano Partner, you can purchase and manage your Fi Nano microchip inventory on the nano.tryfi.com website.
Fi Nano, just like any microchip, should only be injected by an individual who is trained to do so. If you do not have someone in your organization who is trained on inserting microchips, we suggest talking to your local vet.

Fi Nano Microchip Statuses
When you are logged into your Fi Nano Partner Account, you will see three different statuses: Stock, Registered, and Review under the Manage Chips tab. You can learn more about each status below.
Stock
Every microchip that is associated with your Fi Nano Partner account will start out in the Stock status. Microchips in Stock are:
-
Microchips that are available and not yet injected.
- If a microchip in Stock is an available chip that can be used, under Owner, it will show ----- dotted lines only.
- Microchips that have been injected in pets that have not yet been adopted, but are still under the care of a partner.
Registered
Once a pet owner registers their chip, they will be sent an email to approve the chip. Once the chip is approved, the microchip and the pet are now under the owner's care.
All approved microchips are still dually registered, meaning the chip has contact information for both the pet owner(s) and the partner.
- Once approved, only the owner can edit the information associated with the chip. The owner cannot edit any partner information.
Review
Microchips in the Review status are waiting to be approved by the partner. If an owner registers their chip on their own, the partner will receive an email from nanosupport@tryfi.com titled "A Fi Nano registration needs your approval!" to inform you that a chip has been registered by an owner and is awaiting approval.
Once the owner has filled out their contact information, the chip will move from the Stock into the Review status, where it can be approved or denied (accepted or rejected).
- In Review status, neither the owner nor the vet/rescue/breeder can edit the chip. Once the chip is approved, the owner can edit the chip again if needed.
Sharing Microchips With Other Rescues
Fi Nano Partners (that are Rescues only) can share microchips with other Rescues by using the "Reassign Chip" button when a chip number is searched.
Clicking the Reassign Chip button will open a confirmation box that asks you if you'd like to keep or clear the existing owner information before assigning it to your Rescue organization.
Once the chip is reassigned, your Rescue's details will be added to the details of that chip's information. This information will be used as an additional point of contact if the pet were to get lost and the pet's owner is unresponsive.
Then, there will be an option for the Rescue to Assign to My Organization, along with keeping the existing owner's information or clearing it.
