Activating your Fi tracker is easy! If you are activating an upgraded tracker, transferring to a different profile, or replacing your current Fi tracker, your membership will transfer automatically. If you are upgrading or replacing your Fi tracker, your profile information will transfer over to the new tracker.
Before activating or transferring a tracker:
- Update your Fi App: Ensure you're using the latest version for a smooth setup.
- Confirm your account: Log into the Fi Profile associated with your initial tracker purchase to ensure your membership transfers automatically to your new tracker if applicable.
- If you have a Series product, ensure that your Fi Base is plugged in: This is needed to activate your new tracker.

Activating a Replacement or Upgraded Tracker
Follow the steps below to activate your Series 3+ upgrade or replacement tracker.
1. Open the Fi App. Tap your pet's profile picture in the lower right corner. Once you are in the profile, tap the 3 stacked lines to open the Menu button.
2. Tap Your Pack.
3. Tap the pet whose replacement or updated tracker you want to activate.
4. Tap on their current tracker.
5. Near the bottom of the screen, tap Upgrade or replace.
6. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete activation.
Transferring a Tracker to a Different Pet
Follow the steps below to transfer your tracker to a new or different pet in your pack.
1. Open the Fi App. Tap your pet's profile picture in the lower right corner. Tap the 3 stacked lines to open the Menu button.
2. Tap Your Pack.
3. Tap the pet whose tracker you want to transfer.
4. Tap on their tracker.
5. Near the bottom of the screen, tap Transfer to another pet.
6. If you already have other pets in your pack, you'll see an option to transfer the tracker to one of their profiles. You also have the option to add a new pet to your pack.
Tap the applicable profile or Add a new dog or cat to continue. Then, tap Confirm to submit changes.
Unlinking a Fi Tracker
Follow the steps below to unlink your tracker from your pet's profile before activating an upgrade or replacement.
1. Open the Fi App. Tap your pet's profile picture in the lower right corner. Tap the 3 stacked lines to open the Menu button.
2. Tap Pack settings.
3. Tap the pet whose tracker you want to unlink.
4. Tap on their current tracker.
5. Near the bottom of the screen, tap Unlink.
6. Follow any steps to confirm the unlinking. If a pet profile is no longer needed, you can delete the profile.
