The Fi Device and collar band are designed to be easily cleaned. There are recommended instructions for cleaning both the Fi Collar Band and the Fi Device that we listed below.
Cleaning your Fi Collar Band
Fi Collar Bands are made from ultra-durable, woven Tetoron polyester, making them effortless to clean.
- Remove the Fi Device from your collar band.

You can clean the band by either:
- Washing the band in the sink with warm water and detergent.
- Alternatively, you can place the band in a mesh bag and clean it in the washing machine on a warm/gentle cycle.
- Air-dry your collar band. Once fully dry, you can reassemble your Fi Collar.
Cleaning Your Fi Device
While the Fi Device is waterproof rated IP68, you should not place the device in a washing machine. Here is how we recommend cleaning the Fi Device:
- If your device has minor scuffs or marks, we recommend using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Do not use alcohol to clean your device, as it can cause damage.
- Additionally, if you need to remove excess dirt, the device can be rinsed with water over a sink.
Please note that if the GPS device is exposed to salt water, we recommend rinsing it with fresh water.
