Your Fi purchase includes everything you need to get started. You’ll also need a smartphone, Wi-Fi, and a USB adapter. These are required but not included in your purchase.
To reduce our carbon footprint, Fi no longer includes USB adapters in the box. Any 5W or higher USB adapter will work with your Fi Base or USB-C charging cable, and we encourage you to reuse one you already have. Additionally, it must be rated for 5V and at least 1A, which means it provides 5W or more. You can locate this information on the power adapter itself if needed.

A Fi Base is not included with or needed for the Fi Ultra. It charges with the included USB-C cable and your own 5W or higher USB-C adapter.
Fi Membership
A Fi Membership is required for remote tracking capabilities. Your Fi Series 3+, Series 3, Fi Mini, or standalone Fi Ultra purchase includes a Fi Membership. A Fi Ultra added to an existing Series 3+, Series 3, or Fi Mini is covered by that tracker’s membership. A membership is optional for the Fi Series 2, but it is highly recommended. A membership gives you access to the full capabilities of your pet’s tracker, which allows remote access to your pet’s location and activity. Live Tracking/Lost Mode is only functional with a Fi Membership.
