How the Trial Works
You can opt into the 30-day free trial when checking out on our website. You'll pay an $8.99 USD / $12 CAD shipping fee (plus applicable tax). A temporary hold will be placed on your payment method after checkout; this is not a charge and will be released automatically. No upfront membership or activation fee is required.
Your 30-day trial begins upon activation, not your purchase or shipping date. If your device is not activated within 7 days of delivery, your trial will automatically begin on day 7.
No action is required to continue service after the trial period. Your membership will automatically convert to a 1-year prepaid plan at $189 USD / $279 CAD plus tax, and will renew annually unless canceled.
You can cancel anytime during your trial. If you cancel, you will retain access to the Fi App through the remainder of your trial period and will not be charged for the upcoming annual membership. See Returns and Cancellations for more information.
Please note: The free trial is available once per account and is only valid for new members who have not previously purchased a Fi device. You cannot switch to a different device (i.e., go from a Series 3+ to a Fi Mini) during the trial period.
What's Included
Your free trial includes everything you need to get started.
With the Series 3+, you'll receive a certified pre-owned Fi Series 3+ Device, a Fi Base, and a Fi Collar Band.
With the Fi Mini, you'll receive a certified pre-owned Fi Mini Device and a USB-C charging cable.

Returns and Cancellations
If Fi is not the right fit, you can cancel and return your device anytime during your trial.
To get started:
- Visit memberships.fitracking.com/manage to cancel your trial membership.
- Return shipping depends on whether you are based in the United States or in Canada.
- US members will receive a prepaid return shipping label via email. A $9 return shipping fee will be charged at the time the label is generated.
- Canadian members are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of return shipping.
- Pack the full contents of your trial purchase and drop it off with the carrier listed on your label.
Here's what to keep in mind:
- Cancel before your trial ends to avoid being charged for the 1-year prepaid membership.
- The full package must be returned within 14 days of your trial ending.
- For the Series 3+, this means the Fi Device, Charging Base, and collar band.
- For the Fi Mini, this means the Fi Device and charging cable.
- Returns received after the 14-day window will incur a $100 restocking fee (applicable in both USD and CAD).
- You will retain access to the Fi App through the end of your trial period even after canceling.
FAQs
Q: How is the 30-day free trial different from the 30-day return policy?
A: With the free trial, you pay only the shipping fee at checkout and try Fi for 30 days before any membership cost applies. With the standard 30-day return policy, you pay the full price upfront and request a refund if you decide it is not for you.
Q: Will I be charged for my annual membership if I cancel before my trial ends?
A: No. Cancel anytime, and you will not be charged for an annual membership. You will keep Fi App access through the end of your trial. The only costs are the $8.99 USD / $12 CAD shipping fee at checkout and a $9 return fee when your prepaid label is generated.
Q: Who is eligible for the free trial?
A: The free trial is available once per account for new members who have not previously purchased a Fi device. Members with a lapsed membership or a prior return are not eligible. For multi-pet households, one trial is available per account.

Q: What happens if my payment method fails when purchasing my annual membership?
A: If your payment method fails, we will make attempts to process the charge and notify you with steps to update your payment information. If payment is not successfully processed within 22 days, your membership will be deactivated, and access to the Fi App will be removed.
Q: Can I use other discounts with the free trial?
A: Other discounts cannot be applied toward a free trial purchase.
Q: What Series 3+ collar band size should I order, and can I exchange sizes during the trial?
