The Fi Series 3 is the most advanced technology ever built for your dogs. It uses multiple radio technologies to optimize its battery performance while keeping your dog safe and in good health.
Depending on the lifestyle of your dog, you can expect the following range of battery life for each charge of your Series 3 Collar:
- Homebuddy: your dog spends most of its time at home or on short walks with an owner. In this configuration, your Fi Series 3 will last up to 3 months on a single charge.
- Outdoorsy: your dog spends most of his time at home, but you let him run in the backyard on his own and he goes back & forth inside/outside regularly. In this setting, you should expect the battery of your Fi Series 3 to last 4-6 weeks.
- The Rancher: your dog is living the life outdoors. He’s rarely home and roams around your land and surrounding woods most of the day. In this configuration, the Fi Series 3 will hold a battery for up to 2 weeks.
Note that when you use “Lost Dog Mode” the Fi Series 3 turns on live tracking to allow you to track your dog every few seconds. This mode is more battery intensive and allows you to track your dog for about 2 days on a full battery. We recommend keeping this mode for emergency situations where you really need to track your dog’s every step.
How Do I Maximize My Fi Series 3 Battery Life?
- Make sure you have a Fi Base properly connected to your account.
- Make sure everyone in your household is added to the app and keeps the Fi App running on their phone.
- If you have dog walkers or people boarding your dog, make sure they are added to the Fi App as well.
- If you have a large property, consider adding an additional Fi Base. If your home is larger than 3,000 square feet, we recommend adding a second base to improve your indoor coverage.
