With an active membership, Fi Series devices use AT&T's LTE-M and the Fi Mini use Verizon's LTE-M cellular network. In each case, they operate as their cellular device.
Before purchasing, we recommend first checking to ensure there is LTE-M coverage around your home or in any other area where your pet may spend time. Please note:
- Your smartphone can be on any cellular network and does not need to be on AT&T or Verizon
- A Fi Membership is required to enable a Series 3+, Series 3, or Fi Mini device. For Series 2, without a membership, AT&T LTE-M network connectivity and Original Lost Mode are not available. If you did not select a plan during your initial purchase, you can always add a Fi Membership at a later date.
Once you've received your Fi Device, we recommend testing GPS and LTE-M capabilities by Testing Lost Mode.
