Once your Fi App is set up on your Apple Watch, you’ll have access to tools that help you monitor your dog’s location, behavior, and safety (including Lost Dog Mode) right from your wrist.

Navigating the Watch Home Screen
When you open the Fi App on your Apple Watch, the watch home screen shows:
- Your dog’s name and avatar
- Online status indicator and battery level indicator
To view Behavior Data for your dog, swipe up on your Watch screen. You can view the following information:
- The Step Goal Progress Ring – A visual of how close your dog is to their daily step target
- Steps and Distance – Total movement tracked so far
- Strain Score – A reflection of how much effort your dog has exerted (based on movement vs. rest)

How to Switch Profiles
If you have multiple dogs with a Fi Collar, follow the steps below to switch profiles in the Fi App on Apple Watch:
- Tap the arrow next to your dog's name.
- Then, tap the profile you'd like to view.
Location Tracking on the Map
The Map gives you a real-time view of your dog’s location. You’ll also see Safe Zone outlines if your dog is currently in one.
Tap your dog’s location on the Watch App's home screen to open the map. You can drag to move or pinch to zoom in.
Map Icons:
When you are in your dog's map, you will see the following icons:
- The X Icon (top left): Returns you to the Fi App's home screen
- The Recenter Icon (bottom right): Centers the map on your dog
- The Menu Icon (three dots in the bottom left): Opens the menu, which holds controls for the Collar Light or Lost Dog Mode
Controlling the Fi Collar Light
You can turn your Fi Collar Light on and off from your Apple Watch. However, if you would like to make any color changes to your Collar Light, they must be done in the iPhone app.
- Tap your dog’s location in the Fi App on Apple Watch to open the Map.
- Tap the three dots to open the Map Menu.
- Tap Turn light on or Turn light off.
Activating Lost Dog Mode from Your Watch
For Lost Dog Mode, your Watch must be online and your Fi Collar must have GPS signal. Then, Lost Dog Mode can start Live Tracking using a GPS signal. Learn more about live tracking on the Apple Watch here.
To Start Lost Dog Mode
- Tap your dog’s location to open the Map.
- Tap the three dots in the bottom corner.
- Tap Activate lost dog mode.
- Tap Yes, activate to confirm.
To End Lost Dog Mode:
- On your watch, tap the Map from the Fi App's homescreen.
- Tap the three dots in the bottom right corner, then select End lost dog mode.
