You can add a Fi Charging Base to your account through the Fi App. Follow the instructions below to configure your Base.
Adding a Fi Base to your Fi App
1. Open the Fi App.
2. Tap your dog avatar in the lower-right corner. Once you are in the dog profile, tap the 3 stacked lines to open the Menu:
3. Tap Bases:
4. Tap the + button in the upper right corner to add a new base:

Please note, these steps are only to add a new Fi Base. If you are trying to reactivate or troubleshoot a base previously added to your account and displayed in your bases menu, see: Troubleshooting: Your Fi Charging Base Appears to be Offline.

5. Plug in your Fi Base. In the app, you'll see a loading screen while the app scans the area for your base:
6. Once your base is activated, if you don't already have a Wi-Fi Network set up, it will ask you to set up your Wi-Fi Network. Tap Continue:
7. Once the app scans the Wi-Fi networks, a list of available networks will pop up. Tap your network from Choose a Network:

Note: The Fi base only connects to 2.4GH Wi-Fi networks
8. Enter your network's Wi-Fi password within Join Network and then tap Connect:
9. If Wi-Fi connects properly, you will get a screen saying Your Fi Base is all set!
10. The app will ask you to set up a safe zone, see: What is a Safe Zone?
11. If you have previously created a safe zone, the app will ask if you want to choose an existing safe zone:

- You can choose an existing safe zone, or you can create a new one by tapping + Add a safe zone:
12. If you do not have an existing safe zone, we'll automatically suggest an address based on your current location. You can type in a different address if needed. Once the proper address is shown, tap Save:
13. Within Safe Zone Setup, you will need to Name your safe zone. Pick a unique name that describes the location, such as Home. See: How Do I Setup and Edit a Safe Zone? for more information. Tap Next:
14. Once completed, the app will say Base Configured. Tap Continue to exit the screen.
Repeat as needed for additional bases.
Having trouble with your base activation?
To troubleshoot your Fi Base activation:
- Restart your phone.
- Unplug and replug the base into a working outlet.

Try activating again by following steps in the "Adding a Fi Base to your Fi App" section.

Please note, your Series 3 Base indicator light should show a pulsing yellow light.
- If it does not or activation fails, reset the base following these instructions.
- Confirm the base has power by placing your Fi Collar on the base; the collar should light up.

Retry activation following steps in the "Adding a Fi Base to your Fi App" section.
