Setting up Additional Devices
Rescue Portal:
When you're ready to set up devices for additional pets within your rescue, you can create an additional pet profiles directly in the Portal and link devices to the pet. See: Adding a New Pet
Fi App:
You can also use the Fi App to create additional pet profiles and activate devices. Follow the steps in the Add multiple pets to the Fi App article.
When a Pet Is Going to a Foster Home
When a pet is ready to go to a foster home, you will need to transfer the device to the foster parent. This process allows both you and the foster parent to track their location and activity in the Fi App.
To transfer devices to Fosters via the Rescue Portal, follow the steps here: Transferring Devices to Fosters
To do this in the Fi App, refer to this article: How to Transfer a Device to a Foster
What If My Foster Needs a Different Collar Band Size?
Fi Bands are interchangeable, but limited to their Series. Our Series Collar Bands can be swapped with another size to ensure a proper fit. Please note that the Fi Mini does not come with a collar band.
If your foster needs a different size Series collar band, we have two options:
- If you have an extra band in the correct size that you can give to the foster parent, they can easily swap out the bands. Follow full replacement instructions here.
- If you do not have the correct size band, please email rescuesupport@tryfi.com with the band size and shipping address so we can send you the band you need.
