The Live Tab, found in the bottom-left corner of the App's menu bar, gives you a real-time overview of your pet's activity. Additionally, the Live Tab page serves as the home screen of the Fi App. Scroll down to learn more about the Live Tab's features.
Insights
Insights is a quick overview of your pet's activity (Rest and Steps) for the last 7 days compared to the previous 7-day period. You will only receive these Insights alerts if there is a significant change in your pet's rest or activity.
To delve deeper into Insights, simply tap the arrow next to the overview:
You can also view the activity page associated with the insight by tapping View Activity.
To dismiss Insights, tap Clear in the upper right-hand corner:
Live Map Card
The Live Map Card is hosted at the top of your Live Tab, displaying your pet's Fi Device status and their whereabouts.
Within the Live Map Card, you can:
- View your Fi Device's battery percentage & status.
- Turn your Fi Light on or off & change the Fi Light color. (For Series 2, 3, or 3+ devices only).
- See the location of your pet, how long they have been there, and what connection source they are connected to.
- Tap into Lost Mode.
Change Map View
Within the Fi App, you can toggle between Light, Dark, and Satellite view on your live map. Whichever view you select will stay in that view until you toggle to a new one.
- Open the Fi App.

Tap directly on the Live Map to open a full map view:

In the top-right corner, tap the layers icon to open the Light, Dark, and Satellite view options:
- Select Light, Dark, or Satellite view.
Heat Map
The Heat Map displays where your pet spends the most time based on their location history from the past 7 days.
To view your heat map:
- Tap directly on the Live Map to open a full map view.
- In the top-right corner, tap the layers icon (underneath the X in the top-right corner).
Location History: Time Scrubber
Time Scrubber lets you replay your pet's day on the map. Use the scrubber bar to move through the timeline and watch a dot trace your pet's route in real time. You can locate the Time Scrubber by tapping Location History in your Live Map.
During walks and car rides, the dot follows the GPS path. During rest periods, it stays at your pet's location. Long stretches of inactivity can be skipped ahead automatically. The scrubber bar also shows your pet's activity type at a glance, including walks, rest, and travel.
Switch Between Profiles
If you have more than one pet, managing each Fi Profile is simple. In the Live Tab, there are two easy ways to switch between profiles.
- Tap on your pet's name in the screen's upper-left corner to open the pet switcher.
- Tap and hold your pet's profile picture.
Inbox
Tap the bell icon located in the top-right corner of the Live Tab to access your Inbox.
With social settings enabled, your Inbox displays alerts from Fi friends who have liked or commented on your pet's photos, notifications about new followers, updates when pets you follow post, and links to Fi news articles.

Steps & Activity
Fi is here to power your pet's active, healthy lifestyle. The Live Tab tracks their daily steps in real time so you can see how close they are to reaching their goal.
To adjust their step goal or view past activity trends, just tap the Steps summary for a full activity overview.

Trending on Fi
The Trending on Fi section appears at the bottom of your Live Tab and shows a selection of popular posts from the Fi community. Swipe through the carousel to browse content, or tap a post to view it in the community feed. To see more community posts, tap View All to go directly to the community feed.

Additional Menu Bar Tabs
The information on your home page (Live Tab) incorporates information from other areas of the Fi App. Along with the Live Tab, you also have the Health Tab, Rank Tab, Community Tab, and Profile Tab on your menu bar. You can learn more about them below.
Health Tab
The Health Tab in the Fi App gives you a deeper understanding of your pet's behavior, tracking their activity, rest, and overall wellness in one place. To learn more about the features in the Health Tab, click here.
To open the Health Tab, tap Health on the navigation bar at the bottom of the Fi App.
Rank Tab
Your dog can engage in friendly competition through Fi's various packs within the Rank Tab. Please note, the Rank Tab is not available in cat profiles. To learn more about everything in the Rank Tab, click here.
On the Live Tab, you can see your dog's current standings for every Fi Pack they participate in, allowing you to keep track of their performance against their competitors.
Community Tab
The Community Tab allows you to connect with other Fi Pets and Owners. To learn more about the social features of the Fi App, click here.
